[ +] What is Student Protection Scheme(SPS)?
The Student Protection Scheme serves protect the students’ fees in the event a PEO is unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure. Furthermore, the SPS protects the student if the PEO fails to pay penalties or return fees to student arising from judgements made against it by the Singapore Courts.
AESTRAL PRIVATE SCHOOL has in force the Student Protection Scheme. This Policy provides insurance cover for students studying in approved Private Education Organisations registered in the Republic of Singapore, on the terms and conditions contained in the Policy.
This Policy is underwritten by NTUC Income Insurance Cooperative Society that has ‘AA’ rating by standard doors for financial strength.

[ +] STANDARD STUDENT CONTRACT
It is essential that all prospective students enter into the STANDARD STUDENT CONTRACT with the school to ensure well defined student redress practices and systems. Students who enter into this contract with the school would also be covered by the STUDENT PROTECTION SCHEME.
The school uses the Standard Student Contract issued by CaseTrust and adheres strictly to all regulations and conditions stipulated in the contract.
The school ensures the adherence of the:
a) Refund of Fees
b) Withdrawal from Course
c) Transfer of Course or School
as required by the STANDARD STUDENT CONTRACT.
[ +] STUDENT REDRESS POLICY
COMPLAINTS FROM DISTRESSED STUDENTS
i) when a student wishes to express distress, discomfort or unhappiness he/she is referee to the staff in-charge of ’DISTRESSED STUDENTS’ who will issue a Complaint Form to the student to file a complaint.
ii) the complaint is addressed to the attention of the staff concerned and an investigation is then conducted without malice, to ascertain the facts of the matter within 14 days.
iii) the investigation report is then handed to the relevant staff for:
a) resolution
b) rectification (or)
c) amendment within 14 days.
iv) a decision is arrived within 7 days and is promptly conveyed to the complainant without any prejudice to the complainant.
v) in case of insolvency of the PEO or an unresolved dispute, a CASE MEDIATION may become mandatory.
